Corn Bhel

“Bhel” is an Indian Street Food that soothes your taste buds completely. It includes all those spicy, tangy, sweet and salty flavors that bang in your mouth and for sure make you happy. I have created a cheat version using corn as the main ingredient. Its a perfect snack for your late afternoon food cravings, parties, quick cooking or something to cook on weekends.

Recipie: (Serves 2)

Ingredients:

1 cup boiled corn Kernels
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 small tomato, finely chopped
2-3 cloves of Garlic, grated

To Taste:

Chaat Masala(optional)
Salt
Pepper
A pinch of Black Salt
Lemon Juice
Paprika powder/ Red Chili Powder
Corriander
Sev(Indian fried noodles) / crispy noodles
Grated cheese

Method:

Place the boiled corn kernels in a big bowl and mix all the other ingredients with it, leaving some fried noodles and coriander aside for garnishing. Place on the serving plate or bowl and garnish with fried noodles and coriander.

Tips: You can add other vegetables like avocados, chopped parsley, mint, grated carrots etc. as per your choice and taste.

Sev(Indian fried noodles), chaat masala and black salt are mostly available in all the Indian stores. To replace fried noodles,  you can add any crispy element like semi crushed crackers of your choice and if you don’t prefer, it still is going to taste amazing.

You can always add more flavors if you prefer.

Happy cooking!!
